Dream Wizards hosts Yu-Gi-Oh tournaments on a regular basis.
Most tournaments are held on store premises. Periodically, larger events, such as a Sneak Previews, Regionals, and Shonen Jumps are held at another location.

Official Konami Tournament Qualifies Players for North American National Championship.
Dates and Locations are finalized on an ongoing basis throughout the year.

Registration:9 to 10 AM. Players may neatly complete a Registration Form in advance; however admission will be first come, first served on tournament day. NOTES:
PreRegistration:Preregistration is NOT available for this tournament. Format:Constructed, following the Advanced Format Guidelines, including the banned and restricted list Rules and Preparing for Regionals:Extensive resources are listed on the Konami Regional FAQ. Knowledge of the information listed here is mandatory to your ability to enjoy yourself and be prepared for the Tournament! Check it Out! Deck Registration Required:Prepare your Deck Registration list in advance by using either the Official Form or any 8.5 x 11 inch paper. Include your Name, then list the quantity & name of all cards in your deck. Or, use the Official Decklist. Tournament Description:Regional Qualifier tournaments are run using a modified Swiss Format. We will most likely play 9 Swiss rounds. Players may participate in all Swiss rounds, no matter if you win or lose. Once Swiss rounds are complete, the top 8 will play one additional round to determine a Top 4. Prizes:All players receive 5 packs for playing. Top 8 players receive a Regional Qualifier Game Mat. Top 4 players receive a Regionals Card Binder The number of Invitations awarded to the National Championship is determined by attendance. For example: 200 – 299 players: 32 invites Please Read these Important Notes:No room for spectators! Parent /Guardians please contact laurel@dreamwizards.com to make special arrangements. Anyone who is not actively enrolled in the tournament will be asked to leave the premises and parking area. Caution: Expensive Cards are a Target of Theft - Players may socialize and trade as they see fit. Trading will be conducted without interference or supervision. Think carefully before you bring excess cards! Thieves target large collections, expensive cards. Focus 100% on your cards, especially if you hand them to someone for review. Yu-Gi-Oh! Official Regionals - Playmat Side EventSingle Elimination Tournament, minimum of 8 players required. Participanats must have been previously enrolled in the main Regionals event to be eligible to play in this side event. We do not expect to have extra space to admit additional players after registration for the main event closes. Entry:$12 per player (receive 3 packs). Prize:Playmat to 1st Place. |
Yu-Gi-Oh! Official Regionals - Dragon DuelLIMITED Enrollment, Preregistration Only: read message below The Dragon Duel tournament is an Advanced Format, Constructed tournament in which players must be age 12 or under on the day of the Dragon Duel tournament (but may be 13 when the 2012 World Championship Qualifier occurs). Participants are required to provide proof of age (copy of Birth Certificate, Passport, etc). Also, players must hand in a Deck List before the Dragon Duel tournament begins at 2 pm. The Top 4 finalists earn an invite to the Dragon Duel World Championship Qualifier, and an exclusive Dragon Duel T-Shirt. However, prizes will not be distributed until the Top 4 Duelists in a Dragon Duel tournament or their guardian complete the 2012 WCQ Invite Form. A valid e-mail address must be provided for either the Duelist or the guardian. Entry for a Dragon Duel tournament is Free, however Preregistration is REQUIRED. Participants will be accepted on a first come first served basis, Space is very Limited! Registration must be arranged via email. No exceptions will be made. Dream Wizards Sponsored Yu-Gi-Oh Tournaments
These tournaments are recommended and open to players of all ages. The tournament will consist of 4 or 5 rounds; Players may participate in every round no matter if they win or lose. The length of time a tournament takes varies based on the number of participants; generally, the length of a store-sponsored tournament is 2 to 3.5 hours. All Constructed tournaments use the "Advanced Format", and the "Limited and Forbidden" Lists apply to your deck. The most up to date banned and restricted lists are Found Here:

Yu-Gi-Oh! Playmat Tournament
Date:Various Sundays - see Calendar Registration:12 to 12:30 PM Fee:$10 Location:Dream Wizards Retail Store Description:Players bring a deck that conforms to the latest rules published for competitive play. Tournament Structure is Modified Swiss with Top 8 single elimination final rounds. Finalists are determined by player ranking after the completion of Swiss rounds. For those unfamiliar with Swiss, the number of rounds of play will be determined by attendance, and players can participate in each round, win or lose. Prizes:All players receive at least 1 Yu-Gi-Oh booster pack. |
